to know that after all these times
you discover that they don't know you well at all
and no matter how hard you try to save yourself
it all falls on deaf ears

you've been struggling alone to find out your true identity
and you've been crying behind closed doors
and yet nobody knows


Doesn't it hurt,
to know that you've tried so hard
tried so hard to make sure that things turn out alright
but in the end it all turns out otherwise
and you feel like a useless moron ain't it


Doesn't it hurt,
to know that the closest ones whom you thought know you well
give you assurances;
assuring you that they'd be there for you
and to think that I was foolish to take it for real
and I held on to those assurances
only to be disappointed time and time again
